Why TUG Exists

Designed for Quality Training and Athlete Well-Being

TUG Sports Institute was created to offer young athletes a structured, disciplined, and respectful training environment—one that prioritises learning, consistency, and long-term development over volume or short-term outcomes.

We believe that sport, when delivered with clarity and care, plays a powerful role in shaping not just better players, but more confident, resilient, and responsible individuals.

TUG was not built to chase numbers or noise. It was built to protect training quality, athlete well-being, and the integrity of the learning environment.

Training Philosophy

Our View on Athlete Development

At TUG, we recognise that every athlete’s journey is different.

Not every child will pursue cricket professionally—and that is perfectly fine. What matters is that every athlete trains in an environment that is safe, structured, and development-focused.

We place strong emphasis on:

  • Correct fundamentals
  • Disciplined habits
  • Physical safety
  • Mental balance
  • Respect for process

These values remain constant regardless of age, skill level, or ambition.

Beginner cricket coaches lay the foundation by teaching correct basics, discipline, and confidence early.

Why Structure Matters

How Structure Protects Athletes and Training Quality

Over time, we have learned that structure is not restrictive—it is protective.

Clear systems allow:

  • Athletes to train with confidence
  • Coaches to teach with focus
  • Families to engage with clarity

This is why TUG operates as a capacity-led institute with:

  • Capped batch sizes
  • Coach-led decisions
  • Fixed training structures
  • An annual enrollment model

These choices allow us to maintain consistency, fairness, and quality across all programs.

Our Commitment to
Consistency

Consistency is central to how we operate.

Training schedules, batch structures, and enrollment terms are designed to minimise uncertainty and reduce reactive decision-making. This creates a calmer, more predictable environment for athletes and families alike.

We believe that meaningful development happens over time—and only in environments where expectations, boundaries, and routines are clearly defined.

Leadership & Guidance

TUG Sports Institute is guided by Kunal Kanwar and Mehnaz Kanwar, who bring together experience in sport, training environments, and athlete well-being.

While the institute is system-driven and not personality-led, leadership remains actively involved in shaping philosophy, maintaining standards, and protecting the culture of the training environment.

The focus remains on building an institution that can stand independently on its values, structure, and consistency.

What TUG Stands For

At its core, TUG stands for:

  • Structure before intensity
  • Consistency over shortcuts
  • Care before competition
  • Process over noise

A Quiet Promise

TUG does not promise outcomes, rankings, or shortcuts.

What we do promise is an environment where:

  • Athletes are trained responsibly
  • Learning is prioritised
  • Well-being is respected
  • And development is taken seriously

For families aligned with these values, TUG offers clarity, commitment, and care.
