Admissions at TUG

Admissions Based on Readiness and Availability

Admissions at TUG Sports Institute are capacity-led and selective.

We do not operate on open or rolling admissions.

Every intake decision is guided by:

  • Batch capacity
  • Athlete readiness
  • Alignment with program expectations

This ensures fairness, safety, and consistent training quality across all programs.

Capped Batch Sizes

Controlled Batch Sizes for Individual Attention

To protect training quality and individual attention, batch sizes at TUG are strictly capped:

  • Cubs Program: Maximum 15 athletes
  • Beginner Program: Maximum 30 athletes
  • Intermediate Program: Maximum 30 athletes
  • Elite Program: Maximum 20 athletes
  • Athlete Excellence Program (AEP): Maximum 15 athletes

Once a batch reaches capacity, no additional admissions are accepted, regardless of demand.

The Admissions Process

Admission Process and Seat Confirmation

All admissions at TUG follow a clear and structured process:

  • Submit an Inquiry (Families may submit an inquiry through the website.)
  • Trial & Assessment (Eligible athletes may be invited for a trial and assessment session to evaluate readiness and fit.)
  • Alignment Discussion (A brief discussion ensures clarity on program structure, expectations, and commitment.)
  • Seat Confirmation (Admission is confirmed only if a seat is available within the capped batch size.)

Submitting an inquiry or attending a trial does not guarantee admission.

Trial & Assessment Guidelines

A Balanced Assessment for Athlete and Institute

Trials at TUG are not auditions or competitions.

They are conducted to assess:

  • Comfort with group training
  • Basic skill readiness (where applicable)
  • Attention, attitude, and behaviour
  • Alignment with program expectations

Trial sessions are designed to help both the athlete and the institute determine fit.

Important Admissions Notes

Consistent and Fair Admission Principles

  • Admissions are not first-come, first-served
  • Capacity limits apply uniformly, without exceptions
  • Existing enrollment does not guarantee future upgrades or program transitions
  • Advancement between programs is based on readiness, not tenure
  • All admissions are subject to availability within capped batches

These policies allow TUG to maintain consistency and fairness for all athletes.

A Note on Alignment

A Model Built on Structure, Clarity, and Long-Term Development

TUG Sports Institute is designed for families who are comfortable with:

  • Structure over flexibility
  • Clarity over negotiation
  • Long-term development over short-term results

We encourage families to engage with TUG only if aligned with the institute’s philosophy, structure, and expectations.
